We Play Acid record label are proud to present our new release WPA028 “ACID CHAT”.
Hailing from TOULOUSE, FRANCE, producer THOMAS JAGER delivers four original tracks of solid power, heavy acidic beats and “off the cuff“ edits bring an endearing and refreshing approach to an often too clinical genre.

First up “ ACIDLOG 03” is 5 minutes of pounding techno, driven by thunderous 909 beats, clangy high pass FM sounds and unsettling deep harmonic drones with the battle cry.

“The Countdown Has Begun” it eventually builds to an all-consuming “acid flood” which is guaranteed to rip the roof off, total banger this one.

“AWAY FROM MY ACID”, tells the story of a transistor based nightmare in which Jager finds he has lost his beloved 303, Jager captures the confusion of the frantic search using slippy, panned out pitch modulated square waves, off beat riffs and impossibly hard beats, an inspired spoken work vocal hook completes this tongue in cheek tale proving that music still can be fun. The good news is Jager finds his acid box, for two left of centre house tracks, don’t you love a happy ending?

“ACIDLOG 01” is a heavily shunted groovy house thumper with deep chords and heavily improvised acidic grooves that are pure liquid in some places and highly percussive in others.

“ACIDLOG 02” begins life as a futuristic glimpse into a world where the 909 reigns supreme as the chosen electro beat weapon over the 808, then develops into a sort of a Jarresque French house affair with high arpeggios and by now trademark heavy beats.
