Up next for We Play Acid is WPA030 Luv Bizness by the French duo Castor & Katz, AKA Teddy Castor & Marion Katz , former radio show producers & DJs on Radio RCV 99FM at Lille in France and on Intergalactic FM. Castor and Katz gave up their radio shows to concentrate on making music and radio’s loss is our gain. They have a unique approach to making music and the resulting “Luv Bizness” is one of the freshest and original E.P.s in years. Frantic drum programming coupled with deep, almost ambient soundscapes create the most enlightening mood swings and contrasts but somehow remain dance floor friendly …. not an easy thing to achieve.
“Luv Bizness” contains four tracks , not so much tracks as four glimpses of the same work viewed from four different perspectives in space and time.

Luv Bizness (X Version) is the most upbeat and driven of the four tracks, great dubby chords and synthetic voices over frantic ever changing drum patterns leads to a very interesting composition which builds to acid then drops back into tech minimalism , its almost like a tag team assault on the senses , very original approach.

Luv Bizness (Deep Version) relies on the sound of the tr707 for its old school house credentials on point programming and the use of glowing mind altering choir chords and seductive vocals make this old schoolhouse banger hard to resist.

Luv Bizness (Monkey Bizness Version) is a deep exploration of syncopation achieved via popcorn style jagged edged synths and more excellent drum programming , deep space chords and seductive vocals as well as off the wall square wave bass lines make this track an interesting counterpoint to the rest.
